Working Title : APERTURE

Two 12" LCD screens are mounted back to back on a 17" x 12.5" Sheet of metal, plastic, or some other sturdy, tactile material. This sheet is mounted on a 2" metal pipe, which is itself mounted to a 6"x6" square, footed pedestal made from a wood material.

The two inch pipe is cut and spring loaded such that the screens can be rotated through 360° in 16 22.5° increments. Each screen displays a video, approximatedly 10 minutes long, taken earlier from its precise location and facing in the gallery. Each screen will be capable of showing 16 different videos, one for each of the rotational increments.

The effect created is one of a 'window' through which the gallery can be seen in any of 32 different views (16 from each side: see rotation diagram). As the videos are taken, actors will perform a separate script for each of the two screens. Dialog, actions, objects (and perhaps text) will combine over the 16 10 minute videos to present a situation or story. The two scripts will be different, but related.
